Today is National Read Across America Day, or Dr. Seuss Day. He would have been 112 today, and to commemorate his birthday, school children all across the nation don red & white striped hats, and have fun, reading-centered celebrations at school and in their communities. At different Bibliopolis branches across our Gracepoint churches, we celebrated too. We have something special planned to share with you all, but it’s not ready yet. In the mean time, here’s a picture.

Cat in the Hat cousins at Gracepoint Berkeley‘s Bibliopolis with their parents (family resemblance much?). Auntie Annie with her trusty bunny ears!
What’s your favorite Dr. Seuss book? While I’m not a fan of all of his books, The Lorax is probably at the top of my list. Deep stuff.

The Lorax is definitely up there in the favorites. Horton Hears a Who is another one 🙂 Some deep stuff in those books.
