A from baptism, “Loving God” by Chuck Colson was a delight to read. I was particularly struck by this quote by Colson in the prologue, after his devastation at the political scandal of Watergate: “He chose the one experience in which I could not glory for His glory.” Time and time again, Colson’s book challenged me to rethink how I was walking through Christian life, whether it pertained to reading and understanding God’s Word, pursuing the holiness of Jesus Christ, or having a change of mind to turn back to God and repent. I’m in amazement at how Colson’s life has done a complete 180 turn, from being a self-absorbed politician to a man after God’s own heart in a ministry that I would never have even thought of: prisons. Thank God for the way He’s worked through Colson!
