Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus: A Devout Muslim Encounters Christianity

51bwcrvgahl-_sx325_bo1204203200_ In Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, Nabeel Qureshi describes his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity, complete with friendships, investigations, and supernatural dreams along the way.

Providing an intimate window into a loving Muslim home, Qureshi shares how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost against his will, evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. Unable to deny the arguments but not wanting to deny his family, Qureshi struggled with an inner turmoil that will challenge Christians, Muslims, and all those who are interested in the world’s greatest religions.

Engaging and thought-provoking, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus tells a powerful story of the clash between Islam and Christianity in one man’s heart—and of the peace he eventually found in Jesus.

  1. The most valuable insight I got from this book was actually not the arguments for Christianity and against Islam but rather it was how persistent Nabeel Querishi’s friend, David Wood, was in sparking spiritual conversation with his friend and not backing down, even if it seemed like it would compromise their friendship. This really challenged me to be more intentional in my conversations with people and actively seek out more opportunities to talk about spiritual matters with my coworkers and friends. Also, the cost Nabeel bore when he left Islam was really inspiring for me and has motivated me to sacrifice more of my time and effort to serve Christ.
